Delivering Soylent Green How
the Democratic Party loves the rhetoric of promises over
reality, of symbolism without substance, and how they are
going to raise us all up to a more perfect level of humanity
if only you would just vote for them? Surely someone must
believe this every election year crap or they wouldn't always
use it as the foundation of their platform, a platform that I
might add often moves in the wind like branches on a tree. John
Kerry is their new messenger but the din coming from the other
side of the fence stills sounds much the same. Kerry wants to campaign
on his war record and who wouldn't with a fistful of meaningful
metals earned in just four months... oh wait he threw them
away and went against the war and talked about atrocities in
front of the American people. Silly me... but apparently not
silly to John "I could care less about them then"
Kerry. Seems he wants them all back and restored to their
original luster of yesteryear. Funny how those metals that
couldn't possibly do him a lick of good in the seventies are
so precious to him now. Somehow
in his brief period of heroism, saving lives and taking
shrapnel, he managed to identify and gather a much data about
American Military atrocities that wasn't taken immediately
public when it would have done the most good but years later
well after the fact. But such is the case with many a
democrat, almost always a day late and a dollar short in their
efforts to inform. Similar
to his then claims of brutality against the common people of
Viet Nam he now wants us to believe that somehow President
Bush misrepresented the facts to gain support among US
citizens for the war against Saddam. Many Americans now wonder
if he is just twisting facts most adeptly for the purpose of
his own political gain now and if this wasn't the case back in
the early 70's as well? While
the political ad run by Swift Boat Veterans for Truth was over
the edge when it came to the reality of John Kerry's war
record it may have helped reveal a truth hidden as to John
Kerry's character? Here
is a man that wants to malign President Bush's character based
simply on his choice of service and place of duty. Which would
be in the opinion of this veteran of six years of Marine Corps
service, the same as if he were smearing my service
performed in a non combative roll as not worthy of also
running and being President. Such an attack is simply nonsense
and shows how low the man will sink. Even
so, being the good man that President Bush is he has recognized
his opponents military record and said Kerry should be proud
of it and to have served his country so well, and he did this
even as he was being maligned by Kerry. Words cannot describe
the quality of a man that would do that in light of such
adverse political tactics applied by such a desperate
opponent. For
John Kerry, however underhanded such tactics might be, they
could prove be the only way he could fool the American public
into going to the polls and pulling the Kerry lever. Military
record withstanding, his senate voting record when it comes to
America's Defense leaves much to be desired and tends to lead
one to believe he would do much the same if President. Kerry
likes to sit on the fence when it comes to issues, especially
if taking a firm stand might cost him votes. For one, he has
stated he is against gay marriages and would do nothing
directly against them but instead leave any decisions
regarding them to the states. While this sounds good on the
surface it really skirts the issue and is an attempt to
appease both sides. A tactic that Kerry has applied in his
campaign often. What
most Americans that favor Bush like so much about the man is
he isn't afraid to come off the fence and take sides even if
it means he gets a little bruised and getting his hands dirty
in the process. Kerry will always be a fence sitter because it
suits him both politically and spiritually. Unfortunately, it
is a quality that doesn't fit a need in time of crisis and
could actually lead enemies to beat upon the Kerry fence just
to see which way he would fall. When
it comes to John Kerry you aren't quite sure what you are
getting. Don't believe me? Go to his website and listen to his
speeches when he delivers them. Not much there to go on but a
fistful of promises similar to Bill Clintons first campaign
against Bush senior and much Bush bashing. In
reality Kerry doesn't want you to know who he is, doesn't want
to expose himself to anything that could put him on more shaky
soil. He is a tightrope act six inches above solid ground but
he wants us to believe he is up there hovering somewhere above
the Grand Canyon. Kerry
is a smart man for sure, there isn't any doubt about that. You
don't get as far as he has without a brain. Which has to make
you wonder just a wee bit why so many democrats would have you
to believe President Bush is a dimwit? But in an
election year where the leading democrat has been less
than honest about the sitting President and himself why should we expect
more out of the democratic party in general? |
